Bitcoin Balance Not Detected on CoreDAO Staking Page with Ledger Nano X

Hello CoreDAO community,

I’m facing an issue when trying to delegate Bitcoin through the CoreDAO staking page using my Ledger Nano X.

Steps I followed

  1. Installed and updated Ledger Live (v3.90.0).

  2. Installed the Core app on Ledger (v0.1.0).

  3. Connected Ledger Nano X successfully to the CoreDAO staking page.

  4. Reached the delegation interface without any connection errors.

Problem

  • My Bitcoin balance is shown as 0 on the staking page, even though I have ~0.2 BTC in my primary account (confirmed in Ledger Live).

  • Ledger Live and device connection work fine, but the staking dashboard does not recognize the BTC balance.

Environment

  • Ledger Device: Nano X

  • Ledger Live version: 3.90.0

  • Core App version (Ledger): 0.1.0

  • OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

  • Browser: Brave 1.81.136

Actions I already tried

  • Cleared cache in Ledger Live

  • Removed & re-added BTC account

  • Reinstalled the Core app

  • Tried different browsers and networks

  • Issue persists: balance still not detected

Request

  • Is this a known issue?

  • Are there additional steps required to make the Core app recognize the BTC balance?

  • Any troubleshooting guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I can provide screenshots (Ledger Live balance vs. staking page showing 0 BTC) or transaction IDs if needed.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @JIN
Please note that the BTC staking is currently supported from your Ledger’s primary BTC wallet address only. Secondary or derived addresses are currently not compatible. Make sure your primary BTC account is connected for staking. Please refer to our FAQs for instructions on how to create new primary BTC account for a new ledger device or how to identify your primary address if there are multiple addresses.

I have the same problem, and I have been looking for help 2 weeks.

Did you figure this out? I did. Let me know if you still need help. It took me forever, but I finally got it today!

Thank you for your support and clear explanation. I’ve confirmed that only the primary Ledger BTC address can be used for staking. My question is resolved now
